An infusion made from the petals can

Externally, Corn Flower is used for its eye-brightening properties. A strained infusion is used as an eye wash for problems like corneal ulcers and conjunctivitis and you can make a wash for infected wounds, mouth ulcers and use it as a hair rinse. Corn flower petals can also be applied as a poultice over the eyes to ease eye strain.
