Description
- Perennial
- Yellow Jasmine is native to the Americas and in 1924 it was named the official flower of South Carolina.
- It is a hardy, evergreen, fast growing twining vine with masses of sweetly scented, buttercup yellow flowers mainly from late winter into early spring. The leaves are bright green and glossy.
- One of the best climbing plants for smaller gardens or confined spaces.
- It is more compact, neat and not as rampant growing compared to most other climbing plants.
- Yellow Jasmine grows exceptionally well in pots and containers if you provide support with a trellis or lattice.
- The twining stems of Yellow jasmine are superb for covering trelliswork, fences, arbours, pergolas, and other structures that require a light and airy creeper.
- Yellow Jasmine needs full sun or semi-shade and water twice a week.
- Tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions.
